In March 2020 after a long break, I started a new series of paper furniture. It is just a simple cube to sit on and play with. This is the second in this series. Before the whole closing I got a pile of old art posters from the Museum. As a supplement and extension to the first, all white box, I wanted to create colored stools in the same size.
The production makes no noise and goes very slowly. Each strip of paper is applied individually. To make the cube stable you need many layers of paper. Because the Normal wallpaper paste is applied wet, it takes a long time to dry. This gives the necessary tension and makes the layers of paper strong.
