Kiscell Museum Budapest

Robert is proud to be part of the exhibition “Design without borders” at the Kiscell Museum in Budapest.
The exhibition and the related series of events will take place for the 18th time this year.
In the past years, the project, organized without institutional background, has developed enormously and has become one of the most important design and art events in Hungary.
A big thank you goes to the team and to the curators Szilvia Szigeti and Tamás Radnóti. Thanks also to Pro Helvetia for the transportation.

The curators have selected two Pilot paper chairs:

This chair was designed by Robert Wettstein 30 years ago for the Milan Design Week. And it has been in use more or less ever since. So it’s almost a historical chair. Paper is very strong and durable and can be repaired. This chair has been repaired several times and this patina is visible.
Currently there is a lot of discussion in the design world about repairs, and this is perhaps a small contribution to that topic.

The second chair in the exhibition was completed and enchanted by designer Mara Tschudi with coordinated color composition. The Pilot multi color chair (Single piece).
