Robert Wettstein’s packing paper on calico serves as the starting point for the work Growth Curve – From the Visible to the Audible.
The dots and lines marked by the participants serve not only as visual traces of physical presence, but also as performative source material, as notations. These are transformed into musical structures by the five sound artists selected by Beda Senn—Domenico Melchiorre, Rob Kloet, Mirta Hirtler, Landolin Wirz & Lia Neff.—resulting in a translation from visual to auditory practice. Growth is not only documented, but also made sensually tangible in various media registers.
