As part of Craft-ID, Robert presents at the Zurich Design Weeks 2024 objects that are not made of glass or ceramic. The vases shown are made of polystyrene and handmade.
The task of recreating the blue dot vase in Max Bohren’s sunflower picture (undated ca. 1940/ 50) led him to design further shapes and vases of his own.
The spontaneity and joy of design is reflected in these new objects.
The title removes a certain mistrust of the vases. It poses the question: real or fake, right or wrong? Tight or leaky. It questions things that are taken for granted.
